Are you an early career audio storyteller who lives in a community that has been uniquely impacted by wildfire?

We are on the lookout for creators who reside in communities that are especially vulnerable to the impacts of wildfires (Indigenous, Hispanic, Black, migrant, low income, disabled or homeless communities, for example) to create a mini-series of narrative podcast episodes to be released through Life with Fire’s channels later this year.

We know that many of these communities are left behind in conversations about wildfire impacts and resilience-building efforts, as well as the collaboration and knowledge sharing we understand to be essential to creating fire-resilient communities and landscapes. And while these communities are increasingly vulnerable to a disproportionate share of wildfire impacts, we also recognize that they have long led the way in stewarding the land and driving change at the grassroots level, and we are especially excited to highlight the ways they build and sustain climate resilience in their own communities.

Anticipated publishing timeline: Late October-November

Payment: $700-$1000 depending on the complexity of the story and/or production process.
